About Us
We’re Daniel & Emily Newman. We met at BJU in 2003 and married August 27, 2005. We both graduated in 2005, Daniel with a B. Mus. in Church Music, and Emily with a B. A. in Humanities. Daniel plans to return to BJU in the fall of 2007 to earn his Master’s Degree in Church Music Composition. He is currently working at Publix and has recently started a small eBay business (Hybrid Games) on the side. Emily is a preschool teacher at First Baptist Church Kindergarten.
We love the Lord Jesus Christ and live to know and to do His will in everything, and to grow closer in our personal relationships with Him. We are currently involved in forming a new church in Greenville. We love serving the Lord there together with our church family. We both enjoy singing together and helping in the nursery, and Daniel occasionally leads the music for the services.
At home, we love reading, playing games, cooking, and watching movies together. Daniel especially loves playing video games, and Emily also enjoys playing the piano, writing, and trying new hobbies. We also enjoy spending time with our families. Emily volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and enjoys spending time with her “Little Sister” Nicole.
We don’t know what God’s plans for us are in the future, but we hope to move away from Greenville after Daniel graduates with his Master’s. We would like to find a small church where we can serve the Lord together. We both love the idea of teaching, and perhaps the Lord will have us work in a small Christian school. We’re also praying about the possibility of teaching English on a university level in China. We also want to have many children, both biological and adopted. We can’t see what the Lord has for us in the future, but we trust His grace and look forward to serving Him wherever He leads us.

Daniel & Emily;
This is great. You are included in our family devotions, as we pray for all our family members. It’s great to know your allowing the Lord to guide your lives. The blessings can only be imagined today.
Daniel, we’re looking forward to meet your lovely bride, the sooner the better.
Love
Granddad Kiihn
